So the news is out – our animation The Story of Gin has been nominated in the Short Film category at the Dublin Animation Film Festival 2015. This festival is in its fifth year and looks to be a cracker of a show. We are up against some fantastic competition. Will update here with the results next week. Fingers crossed!
Example of 3D Modelling. Base model for model Messerschmitt BF109-G6 that I’m working on. I’ll be sad to watch this crash into the side of a 3D building in a few months!
Some concept artwork here for an infographic we are doing on Wind Energy. We want to keep things fun, and at the same time very clean-looking, in an effort to mirror the use of wind energy. We have always liked the low-poly look that has been made popular over the last year or two and thought it would suit the brief. We decided to go with bright, highly-saturated colours to reflect a light aspect in the project. This will be modelled and animated in Maya and rendered with Renderman. Big thanks to the guys at Disney Pixar for making such a great renderer.
Always on the lookout for the perfect location to do a shoot. Great scenic views from Wicklow Head – and around the bay on a fairly bumpy boat ride. Some lakeside shots and then out to the West Pier in Dun Laoghaire before the light faded.
